Phew, it's been awhile
I'd thought I do another journal for you guys!
First I'd like to thank the sudden burst of new watchers to my gallery, nice to see more people who are interested in my work. Keep those
s coming, and if you can show a little bit of support with a comment
Many of you who joined noticed I haven't submitted much for awhile, this is because of work, my studies and a massive art block which at the end of a hard day is hard to shift. Been trying to come up with new designs for my Wild Gem series, got all of the Crystal Beasts planned out, just need to update their designs and find the time to make one of them. Still trying to make any random objects in 3D should I get a quick idea and am in the mood for a quick modelling session. Also still spewing out new game ideas and designs, but my busy scheduled makes it hard to really get into them. Hopefully I'll get back into them soon, got some interesting ideas to experiment with Minecraft
My latest project/brain train is to do with Minecraft, I've been planning a series of "adventure" type dungeons, based around different parts of the game. Each dungeon will be separate instances from the main world and accessed through special portals, just like The End Dimension. Each dungeon will have special mobs that don't appear in the main world. These instances will be made up of a series of tunnels and chambers will link together, with mini bosses at set points and a final boss at the end. All expansions will try to have an interlinking storyline between them
The first one as you probably may have already seen is the Creeper Hive, the home of the creeper and other strange versions. The instance will be underground with long winding tunnels with small chambers linked by them. Creepers and Workers will spawn normally in the tunnels, with Soldiers appearing slightly rarer. This is broken up by 2/3 large chambers which contain mini bosses and a final chamber which will house the final boss.
At the moment, I am undecided on what to do for the rooms for the bosses, as there are many different ideas I could use, all based on insect colonies such as ants and termites.
Room idea: Barracks
Boss idea: Massive Guardian Creeper (Probably last mini boss before final boss)
Room idea: Gunpowder Mine/Tunnel Digging
Boss idea: Long thin Creeper Worm
Room idea: Egg Storage
Boss idea: Creeper Hatcher (Long arms from picking up eggs and moving them)
Room idea: Food Storage
Boss idea: Overweight Creeper (Slow moving, fires slime at player to slow them down)
Room idea: Royal Chamber
Boss idea: Creeper Queen
If you have any other ideas or if you want to show support for any of the ones I've thought off, please feel free to contact me, I look forward to hearing about what you think. (EDIT: Set up a Poll uxd.deviantart.com/journal/pol…
Naturally, with new dungeons come new and exciting loot, and I have been thinking about some creeper related items too.
Other ideas for Dungeons I've thought of are:
Dust Kingdom - A necropolis which held a secret now lost under the rule of the Undead, enter if you dare, your curiosity will be the death of you...
Venom's Reach - The Spider Queen wakes from her 1000 year slumber, and her brood has been hungry for so long...
Pyramid of Suidae - A pyramid in the desert inhabited by pigmen (not zombie pigmen) who are guarding a ancient secret...
The Blazing Halls - The inner sanctum of the Nether Ruins, the secret behind why the nether is how it is...
The Obsidian Conduit - The Endermen's ruler hides atop his fortress drifting in the void, defended by those he's stolen and corrupted... (Enderdragon being one of the mini bosses/maybe the final boss himself in dragon form)
Obviously I've left these ideas purposely vague as to not give too much away, but some/all will be linked by an storyline and will explain a few things as to why the world of Minecraft is how it is (or at least in the way I have envisioned it, the only person who truly knows is Notch
Anywho, Uxdragon out! Comment if you want to see anything I've brought up!
